Utille @ German Comic Con Berlin 20./21.10.2018

Hi!

The Comic that I'm making has been named 'Utille' now (named after a location in the story) and was first promoted to the publich last weekend at German Comic Con Berlin 2018. It was fun and I enjoyed receiving so much positive feedback. It was encouraging, thanks to everyone who was there! :)

Das Comic das ich gerade zeichne wurde inzwischen 'Utille' genant (benannt nach einem Ort in der Erzählung) und wurde letztes Wochenende zum ersten mal bei der German Comic Con Berlin 2018 öffentlich vorgestellt. Es hat Spaß gemacht und es war schön, so viele positive und ermutigende Rückmeldungen zu dem Comic zu hören. Vielen Dank an alle die da waren! :)

'Mara' Making of - page 11

This is a short making of video, that I made while drawing page 11 of the Comic 'Mara' (working title). It's a mix of analogue and digital techniques and takes almost one working day for one page (about 6 pages per week) for now. I hope to get faster as I keep doing it...

Dieses kurze Making of-Video habe ich aufgenommen während ich Seite 11 des Comics 'Mara' (Arbeitstitel) gezeichnet habe. Das Comic entsteht mit einer Mischung aus analoger und digitaler Technik. Es dauert fast einen ganzen Arbeitstag eine Seite zu zeichnen (etwa 6 Seiten pro Woche). Ich hoffe das ich mit der Zeit etwas schneller voran komme...

Comic update

It's been quite a while that I announced that I'm working on a comic project and I did that between freelance jobs for a long time. Now I'm trying to give that project more priority because I really want to see it happening. It's a dream coming true for me at the moment. I've got 100+ layout pages and 16 finished pages so far. On the pic below are the two main characters, Mara and Sash. The comic will be published in episodes (on a yet to be announced platform) some time later this year. Hi, it's been a while. I've set up a new blog on tumblr and also an instagram account, where you can find some more regularly updated stuff.

In the meantime, I'll add some more recent work here. So, I've worked on "The Amazing World of Gumball" for ages, starting out as a Clean Up/In-Betweener on season 2 at Studio Soi in November 2011 and working as a key animator in London in season 3 to 5 until the end of 2016, plus even a little bit on two episodes of season 6 last year. I've edited a reel of some of my favorite shots here, check it out and leave a comment or a thumb up if you like it!
